1 Comment on Adventures in YA Episode 004: New Releases for the Rest of the Year

  1. Hello ladies. Great list of upcoming books. I think the Jennifer E. Smith book is the one I’m most looking forward too. I didn’t get an ARC, which is sad, so I’ll be hurrying to buy it when it comes out.

I find it interesting that you and so many other found Eleanor & Park much more meaningful than Fangirl. That does seem to be the most common reaction. Mine was the opposite. I loved Fangirl and related to it much more than E&P. I even liked the romance better in Fangirl. It felt like a more mature and complex book. Perhaps it’s because I read Fangirl before E&P. I’m not really looking forward to Carry On though. I skimmed all those portions of Fangirl. I’ll scan it at the bookstore when it comes out. Maybe it will surprise me.
